Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas Eve and 25 degrees outside - crazy!

I've never felt so indifferent towards the holiday season in my life - Christmas Day is tomorrow and it's like meh, whatever. When I reallythink about it I will definitly miss my mom's great Christmas cookies, family dinner, and tradition of opening presents Christmas Eve evening, but I suppose you just have to accept that things change. This will be the first Christmas in 11 years where we won't be together as a family because not only will I not be there but neither will my dog. I still miss her immensely. :(

Today was flyable but yeesh, not very fun. The air was so ratty and choppy, everyone with the exception of the comp pilots flew around for only a bit and then landed. Everytime I land after I feel uncomfortable in the air versus sinking out, I feel a bit frustrated. It's like "oh it wasn't that bad, I should have stayed up"...but then when you're actually flying in that sort of stuff, thinking about something other than the landing zone can be hard. Although I should say that having other pilots land with you does make landing early easier to justify.

Things look good for the next few days (well, maybe not tomorrow so much) - clocking some more hours will be sweeeeeeettttt! A big flight is just round the corner - I can feel it!

Merry Christmas everyone! I think about and miss all of you back home - enjoy your white Christmas - it really is something special.
